If you ask anyone who keeps up a long-term fitness plan, they’ll tell you that accountability is often key. Anyone can start a new fitness regime, with a promise to start some new better habits and feel super motivated at the start. However, after a few weeks, life can get in the way and we lose track of our goals and then our motivation drops. If you engage with one of our coaches, you will get an expert to guide you through the whole process of your new journey. We thought we would share with you some of the ways working with a Personal Trainer can help. You Get A Support System
Working towards any goal on your own can be lonely, especially if it is something that is long-term. For example, saying you want to go jogging three times a week or you’re keen to visit the gym more often are both great ideas, but who is going to make sure you go? At the start of any fitness journey you’re likely to be motivated and raring to go, but a few weeks down the line –you’ve had a long day at work, it’s raining and you’re knackered, it’s really hard to skip a session because who would ever know? By working with a Personal Trainer, you have a commitment to attend at a certain time, so it isn’t so easy to flake out and choose the easy option. You also get someone you are accountable to & that you can proudly share your achievements too with…this all really helps with staying motivated. Build Up A Routine Whether you’re giving up a bad habit or starting a new good habit, routine and familiarity definitely help. When we have a schedule or routine of doing something, it becomes second nature to carry out that task. When you work with us, we will work with you to put together a schedule that works for everyone. After a few weeks, you will be so used to attending our sessions that you’ll find it even easier to attend; in fact, hopefully you’ll even miss any sessions you have to skip for any reason! Take Advantage of Someone Else’s Expertise If you’re new to a fitness journey or you want to mix up your current routine, it really does help to have someone board that knows what they’re doing. There are different techniques that are better for different body types and exercises vary depending on the end goal. Ultimately, by working with a personal trainer, you get to make the most out of your new regime.
